The Client

Our client is a well-known and respected brand that has focused on consumer rights for the last 60 years in the UK. They are mainly known for their magazines, in which currently has over 1million subscribers, they are now going on to conquer the digital world by working on exciting and ambitious interactive service products that are designed to play a key role in revenue. This is a fantastic opportunity for a mid-weight UX designer to join an ever expanding team and to contribute with producing compelling and award winning designs and services.

The Role as Mid Weight User Experience Designer

This is a fantastic opportunity to work on some exciting web-based responsive products as well as on the native app that is currently in development. Executive stakeholders have bought into and see the importance of designing an industry-leading digital user experience – so this is a great time to make a real difference to UK consumers with the UX you design. You will be working in an agile environment working collaboratively with a range of teams and skillsets.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing user experience focusing on workflows, user journeys, user flows, storyboards, wireframes, personas, prototypes, site-maps, test cases, or written specifications and user stories.
  • Create UX deliverables including sketches, storyboards, user journey and developing high fidelity prototypes and wireframes.
  • Work with design, product team to ensure user experience is translated into a strong, on brand visual look and feel with high quality usability.

The Candidate

Our client is looking for a candidate with an entrepreneurial spirit who has at least 2 years’ experience delivering the full UX life cycle with stake management skills. An ideal candidate will have a thirst for knowledge and willing to learn from more experienced members of the UX team as well as having the ability to work collaboratively. A good knowledge of UX toolkits such as Axure is a must, as is experience with sketching, wire-framing, prototyping and creating user flows and site maps. They would prefer a candidate with experience of designing responsively across multiple platforms not just web.
