Lead User Experience Designer for Publisher with a portfolio of the UK's leading publications in West London – £60,000 - £70,000
We are currently recruiting for a Lead User Experience Designer for a Leading Digital Publisher
Our client is one of the most awarded Digital publishers in the market, owning some of the most popular special interest and household pulications in the UK (you will most likely have one of its titles in your magazine rack at home) They focus on nurturing and encouraging the creativity of their people and are developing a strong, vibrant culture to generate exceptional content to reach and inspire their audiences.
The Role as Lead User Experience Designer
As the User Experience Lead you will be working collaboratively with designers and developers designing exceptional product experiences for the various publications’ digital brands. This is a hands-on role, taking projects through the full UX life-cycle whilst using a variety methods to solve interaction design problems.
Day to day Tasks will include:
- User research and profiling
- Strategic proposals
- Competitor and behaviour analysis
- Wireframe development
- Schematics and Navigation models
The Design team acts as somewhat of a central creative agency for the various publications with product owners from each brand coming to the team with their initial ideas with the team then becoming fully alive to take requirements right through to delivery.
The differing needs of each publication means you will be working across multiple platforms giving you a variety of projects that will undoubtedly broaden your skills and improve your portfolio of work.
The ideal candidate will be personable with an excellent understanding of user centered design and the ability to implement solutions based on the needs of their users. You will be confident working individually or as part of larger team to ensure tasks are completed on time and to the highest standard.
Key requirements include:
- A knowledge of analytic suites such as Adobe Creative and Axure
- An ability to create high standard work within a tight deadline
- Having superb communication skills, both verbal and written
- Being able to demonstrate you have genuine value feedback and input
- An ability to lean from others
