Lead UI/UX Designer for Entrepreneurial PropTech Start-Up in Central London – £70,000
Founded in 2010 by a family of 3 generations of real estate agents, this exciting start up is built upon passion for the property industry, and amazing customer service. They are one of the biggest players in the growing PropTech space after selling over £20 billion of property through their product in the last 7 years.
They are wanting to take their offering to the next level, and expand their team of 35 over the next 3-5 years to really become the leader in this exciting sector. This expansion will involve shifting focus from the initial growth of the business, forming a true culture around the user and their needs.
The Role as Lead UI/UX Designer
This role of Lead Designer will be the first design role for this start-up, and as a result they need a passionate, experienced designer who is able to articulate and lead the whole design process.
It’s an amazing opportunity to pioneer bringing visions from various departments together into cohesive, user-centric web and mobile product. The day-to-day responsibilities will be encompass anything from user research and strategy, right through to testing final UI prototypes on mobile and web. The main focus will be re-designing the user journey and experience of the current product, and creating a functional and aesthetically pleasing web and mobile product that is scalable in the long term.
This is a very collaborative role, working with several internal teams such as Tech, Analytics, E-Commerce and Marketing to plan future design features and developments.
Our client is needing a strong and entrepreneurial designer, with exceptional skills in not only UX/UI design, but also project management and communication. You will be given full responsibility and ownership of the design process, and will advocate for the user in every decision you make.
Along with these attributes, you will also possess:
- 5+ years’ experience in end-to-end UI/UX – such as wireframing, user research, user journeys, prototyping, testing and analytics – shown in an in-depth portfolio
- Knowledge of Adobe Suite, Sketch, HTML and CSS
- Understanding and ability to communicate design ideas and best practices
- Ideally be from an e-commerce and/or trading background
