Development Manager for Leading Online Marketplace in London – £80,000 – £100,000
I have been retained by a leading technology company to find them a new Development Manager for their London office, with a view to stepping in to a CTO role quickly. Their flagship product is an online marketplace and you will be tasked with taking the reins of their development teams and being a true leader, not a boss, as they enter a new stage of their journey and progress their products to the next level. This is a senior level role where you will be reporting straight in to the Group CTO.
This role will primarily be a management position, but it is imperative you are very strong technically and can lead from the front in this regard. We are looking for a strong-willed individual who can handle partners effectively, in an inclusive manner that is in line with their harmonious office vibe.
You will be a key member of the technology teams within the organisation. Your teams work will be right at forefront of what they are trying to achieve and are a big part of the plans moving forwards. How you grow and build your team will be up to you, you will be an active figure in recruitment as well as setting out the technology strategy and key landmarks, alongside the stakeholders involved.

On the technical front, you must understand project deliveries and coming from a technical background would highly advantageous. You will work closely with UX teams too to really bring their products to life, prior experience in handling relationships between tech and design will be highly advantageous. Also, they like Agile. A lot. Oh, and the team currently has 100% coverage on TDD.
For this role, you have a consistent record of successfully leading high output development teams, as well as tangible experience in the successful management of partners – both in terms of development processes and timescales, and in organisational too.
