Hands-On Development Manager, Front End – Permanent, London

I am currently working with a leading technology company, whose flagship product is an online marketplace, and we are looking for a Hands-On Front End Development Manager to take the reins of their Front-End team and be a true leader, not a boss, as they enter a new stage of their journey and progress their products to the next level.

This role will primarily be a management position, but it is imperative you are very strong technically and can lead from the front in this regard. We are looking for a strong-willed individual who can manage stakeholders effectively, in an inclusive manner that is in line with their harmonious office vibe.

You will be a key member of the technology teams within the organisation. Your teams work will be right at forefront of what they are trying to achieve and are a big part of the plans moving forwards. How you grow and build your team will be up to you, you will be an active figure in recruitment and well setting out the technology strategy and key milestones alongside the stakeholders involved.

On the technical front, you must be an expert with HTML5 and CSS3, as well as being a demon with ES6 JavaScript. Working knowledge of Node is also highly advantageous. You will work closely with UX team too to really bring their products to life. Also, they like Agile. A lot. The team currently has 100% coverage on TDD.

For this role you must have a proven track record of successfully managing high output development teams, as well as tangible experience in the successful management of stakeholders – both in terms of development processes and timescales, and in organisational too.
