Senior User Researcher for Design led Technology Platform in London – £450-£500 per day

I am looking for a talented freelance User Researcher for a 3-month rolling contract working at a design led technology platform.

The Client

My client are one of London’s most exciting technology platforms who have grown from a start-up to an established business in a few years however have not lost their start-up environment.

They work in agile and collaborative squads that are both agile and data driven; experimenting, developing and measuring in rapid iterations. They use many different technologies, designs and data to quickly deliver features that help optimise their customers experience, and are always looking to try new ideas and approaches.

The Role as Senior User Researcher

Each member of the squad has responsibility for taking ideas from concept through to implementation; experimenting and measuring every step of the way & the person who lands this role will conduct a range of research techniques and use existing data and their own knowledge of design principles to advise, validate and guide the technology teams as they continue to innovate the platform.

Your insights and analysis will be used to support teams across the department, enabling them to work smarter and faster, steering them in the direction of the most impactful features that deliver the very best user experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Scope, design and conduct research, identifying the best method or a mix of methods based on research questions, timeline and resources. The Senior UX
  • All aspects of research (study design, recruiting, moderation, analysis, reporting) for both generative (participatory design) and evaluative (user testing) research.
  • Plan, recruit and conduct research studies using a large number of research methods (user testing, ethnography, persona creation, survey design, A/B testing, log analysis, etc.)
  • Responsible for both qualitative and quantitative forms of research in an applied research setting and to act as an authority in one of these disciplines.
