An exciting opportunity has arisen with a strategic marketing and communications consultancy who are looking to add a talented social media analyst to their already well-established communications team

The Client

Freelance Social Media Analyst (3-6 month fixed/equiv day rate)    London          £45-50,000

Established communications and public relations agency is looking for an experienced Social Media Analyst to join their team. This is for a fixed term contract initially with the view to it potentially going permanent. Fundamentally you will be delivering actionable insight from different online channels.

The Role as Senior Social media analyst

 

  • Monitoring conversations to help brands increase their social presence
  • Measuring consumer interaction through awareness, appreciation and action
  • Help build an agency wide consistent approach to measurement and social analysis
  • Deliver regularly reports for clients that provide clear, concise and actionable information including campaign measurement and social media valuation
  • Help client teams to set and then measure social KPI’s
  • Help drive the social listening function as a stand-alone business with its own P&L
  • Work with client teams to provide key consumer insights and identify new ideas
  • Experience in using tools such as Brandwatch, google analytics or sysomos, Crismon Hexagon

The Candidate

You will have experience in a similar role either in an agency or client side environment having come from either a social media/digital agency or a client side environment

  • Substantial experience and expertise within social media planning and analytics
  • Proven experience of working with leading social listening tools and a track record in turning the insights into actionable data
  • Experience with helping brands raise their profile through consumer insight
  • Ability to communicate ideas in a fluid and clear way with an unflappable nature
  • A developed understanding of Brandwatch, Google Analytics, Hitwise or similar packages
  • A true passion and interest in social and consumer driven products
  • Strong proven and demonstrable project management skills
  • You will be a self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Strong reporting background with experience of having worked across paid and earned platforms
