My client are a super talented bunch who work with a range of clients (predominantly in financial services) to create heavy weight, data-rich applications, products and services to improve the day-to-day performance of expert users…think trading platforms & weather monitoring systems really cool & complex stuff.
They are looking to hire a talented Interaction Designer who can bring a broad knowledge of Strategy, User Research and Information Architecture with a specialisation in Interaction Design within the financial services sector. This is a role where you will be designing to problem solve complex challenges and you’ll be at the forefront of innovation allowing you to indulge your inner geek.
The Role as Senior Interaction Designer for Design Tech consultancy
Working under the guidance of the Head of User Experience Design you will spearhead both small and large delivery teams, guiding and supporting the client to design beautiful and functional solutions.
To land the role as Senior Interaction Designer you:
Will have worked on projects where you have designed the complete experience – from eliciting requirements and latent needs from client and end users; through visualising conceptual models of the context, strategy and solution; to designing cutting edge user interfaces and seeing these through to successful launch. You are someone who is committed to Experience Design and want to push the boundaries of the technology and the way interfaces are designed. You are an expert in Interaction Design and can develop tools and methods for doing this work as required on the project.
Know how to express your ideas visually; using techniques like sketch noting, diagramming and sketching. You can deliver visual documentation to a high-level of quality and fidelity for review and use by the client and development team.
Are passionate about business problems; willing to probe into both the users and the businesses requirements to extract needs, not just wants.
- Know how to plan Experience Design work streams, creating project plans, assigning the right team members and identifying when there are dependencies on other work or disciplines.
- Know how to work with your counterparts in project management, user experience and development to make a project successful.
