The Client

A leading youth charity is looking for an accomplished Product Manager to join their team on a fixed 9 month contract. Our client is the nation’s leading youth volunteering charity that prides itself on working with some of the most creative, energetic and inspiring young people in the country. For almost a decade this charity has created over 1 million volunteering opportunities and are continuing to grow.

The Role as Digital Product Manager

 

  • Facilitate a coherent product vision and roadmap
  • Experience of managing complex projects through the full life cycle ensuring projects are on budget and to agreed timescales
  • This role encompasses elements of research, project management and UX
  • Help drive higher engagement in social action through the opportunity marketplace by increasing the number of sign-ups
  • Familiarity with Agile and lean principles
  • You will work directly with young people, internal and external stakeholders in the creation of user testing sessions
  • Work with analytics to maintain and evolve product performance tracking and reporting
  • Experience of mobile website development
  • Ideally you will knowledge of the voluntary sector and the issues facing young people

 

The Candidate

You will be an experienced Product Manager who has a track record of taking a mature product to new heights.

  • Thorough understanding of project management methodologies in particular agile
  • Track record of delivering great results through optimisation (including A/B and multi-variate testing)
  • Outstanding analytical skills and commercial nous
  • Proven experience of product development
  • Highly collaborative and have outstanding communication skills across a wide range of stakeholders
  • Ability to talk to a wide range of audiences including charity partners, young people and senior management team
  • Show a broad interest in technology and demonstrate a sensibility to good UX/design
  • A true passion and interest in helping young people release their potential
  • Totally self-motivated able to work with minimal support
  • An enthusiastic and proactive networker with proven experience of driving insight form data and research
