Client Engagement Director for user research & digital design agency in London – package up to £100k (basic salary of £70k plus OTE)

The Client

My client are a specialist in their field – highly regarded for their offering within user research and customer centric digital design. They are seeking a Client Engagement Director to join their business and act in a pivotal role on their leadership team.

They are innovators, digital evangelists and aim to positively transform via disruption, optimisation and the re-imagining of both digital and non digital experiences. With the user journey based on research they create, invent and conceptualise strategically to enhance digital products and services for highly regarded global brands.

The Role as Client Engagement Director

You’ll be responsible for identifying new business opportunities based on market research, knowledge and insight and fostering new relationships to develop growth opportunities. Acting as a thought leader you will be responsible for strategically targeting and opening up new opportunities, positioning the business as a partner to add value to brands with a need for the services currently on offer.

As a newly created role you will have the scope to define new business objectives, and to strategically develop a plan to take to market. Working with senior stakeholders in the business you will provide consultation with regard to routes to market and have the opportunity to implement growth plans. You will source and generate new leads, create new business prospects based on market intelligence and industry contacts.

Working along side their Marketing Manager (who will report into you) you will have input on the development of the marketing strategy, and an influence on the content being created to represent the company and their services. You will be involved in creating proposals and presentations as well as delivering pitches to existing and new clients.

Whilst this is a lead generation and new business acquisition role – the focus is growth based on relationship building, market research and insight and positioning the company as a niche specialist their field. You’ll be regarded as an industry expert in your own right and demonstrate an ability to drive sales based on consultation and presenting intelligent solutions to build lasting relationships.

 

The Candidate

You understand the digital space, are an advocate of tech and innovation and are conversant in UX and design. You are engaging, consultative and look to provide intelligent solutions. You are able to build rapport with existing and new clients – through actively targeting new leads, utilising your existing network of contacts and attending and speaking at industry events.

You are a self starter – ambitious and seeking a challenge. You want to take the opportunity to be strategic and hands on and are able to plan and implement new business activity. You have an ability and a proven track record when it comes to delivering new business opportunities with demonstrable examples of how you have identified, targeted and delivered when it comes to securing new business.

Ideally you will have an existing network of contacts within the digital space. Experience working in an agency is a must. Experience working both client side and within an agency will be extremely well regarded.
